Police Cars

Yesterday, when I was going to have my hair cut. I saw this police car 5 policemen inside it. guest what car is it? hikhikhik, it’s a kancil. Just imagine the policemen were fitted inside that tiny little kancil. If they bring a gun with them, I am positive that somebody could accidentally pull the trigger.

I think it a patrol car for police, I’ve seen few a running on the road. Well, pity them, The Royal Malaysia Police. But looking from the other side, it is a good initiative that they participate in promoting the national cars, both Proton and Perodua. Its normal today that we seen policemen drive proton on patrol. They drive perdana, waja, iswara, wira and they use kancil also, I never seen police using other model from perodua as their patrol cars.

When I saw it yesterday, it triggers me of something else. What if there is a hot pursuit and the opponents car is faster than the patrol car. The American were proud of using Ford as their patrol car, it rigid and tough car. That’s why we could see in the Hollywood movies, lots of police car were use in a stunt. In Malaysian made movies, seldom we can see the police car being use in stunt. If it was a shooting scene, I am confident that the policemen weren’t hiding behind police car, but instead behind somebody else car. The French also proud of using their Peugeot for patrolling. No problem in hot pursuit, because that car isn’t that bad.

The policemen used to drive Volvos as their patrol car, but that was years ago. Before proton even initiated.

I think maybe Malaysia is a peaceful country that the police won’t need a safer car. Time will tell….
