This 31st March would likely to be my 1 and half years of working in KL. Huh…it’s been that long already?
It really felt like it was just yesterday. When petronas offered me a position in carigali, I wasn’t sure where would I be positioned, since there were 4 carigali offices locally in
I started my first day working in KL on the 2nd week of fasting month. And I am surely won’t be back that hari raya. I was lucky to be working in miri at the first place, since my bos there offered me his house to let. Nice house also…..hahahahah
For the first few months in KL were a bit tedious, since I am not really familiar with KL road…although most of my fren were KL-ians (so they were). At that time, my main transport was bus number 23….luckily my house was not far from the bus station and in fact I could have some exercise every morning…(hihihi..so very true about that exercise thing) – I sold my kancil which I use in miri…no point of having that car in kl.
So for about 6 months, i was in and out of the bus everyday. Quite tiring, since KLCC is the 2nd last point for pick up….which resulted in the bus to be fully crowded with variety of smell…then using the money I have after selling my kancil, I bought myself a wira. Actually I wasn’t sure why I bought that car…my dad told me to get a vios. But who would get a vios with Rm5000 downpayment? A lot of calculation and judgement comes into when I’m choosing my car….but I like the car anyway.
To be frank, sometimes I don’t want to be working in KL and really feel like I wanted to go back to Sarawak…but to think again, I won’t get another chance of working here in KL…and I’ll be stuck in that island forever…so I wasn’t planning any transfer in this near future…
Plus this price hike in oil prices…living cost in KL will definitely be higher than usual…
I think someday I’ll come back to Sarawak…or maybe I should start thinking of buying a house here in KL…heheheheh
