Handphone Chronology

Some would call it handphone…others may call it cellphone….and there are people that named it mobilephone. Whatever it is, there are just the same kind of things. I called it handphone.

If people would ask me what handphone do I used 7 years ago, the answer would be none. I got my first handphone on my 2nd term in university. It was a Motorola something2 la, can’t remember the model. At that time, it was considered good. I think it cost me rm400 that time. Heheheh…I was the first one in my family to have a handphone and god knows, that time…having a handphone is a luxury. Can’t believe that nokia 3210 worth RM1000 at that time.

Among my housemate, my phone is considered the 2nd largest. A dog would surely mistaken it for a bone…

Then I moved to Motorola talkabout, a small and yet cute phone from Motorola, at that moment the world are racing up to invent smaller things each and everyday. I used it for quite sometimes, until the mishap tragedy happen. It was my housemate birthday and our yearly celebrations were with water on the birthday body.

It was a time where the popular trend of having a handphone was to have a neck strap. And I have one of those things…clinging around my neck. Without realizing that it was strap to my neck, I got splash with the water and there goes the phone...

Then time for Samsung SGH-2400 after that, my first Samsung. Don’t remember how much it cost that time.

This phone was great, except for the pig skin pouch they gave me (freebies). My friend bought that phone from me, because she really want to have it….and I got really pissed off when she sold it to her friend for more than what I sold to her..and I got this really cool phone from Samsung, SGH N400. But sure thing, it was design by pininfarina and got its signature at the back…what so special about that phone?...

It have an auto antenna…cool yeah…once, handphone shop owner in ipoh offered me RM1000 for that phone. But it was me, who had so much sentimental value…would not want to sell it…if now anybody would offer me RM1000 for my phone, I would likely give it (terms and conditions apply)

Hmmm…how many have I told already…4…

When I work in miri, I was still using that Samsung, until one day, I can get the phone charged…I was in need of handphone that time and without wasting anymore, I bought a new one. My first and only nokia till now…it was nokia 3100, one that has a glow in the dark case. A really fun phone to use, I admit that nokia is the most user friendly phone I ever used.

Unfortunately, I have it for only 6 months…I lost it somewhere at MAS office in miri, while waiting for my turn to validate my return ticket to KL. So I get myself a Motorola e398, known also as motorok…an MTV certified phone…stereo surround system speaker….

I don’t know why I don’t use this phone for a long time also, might be I got bored or it was just a temptation for another…god knows

I bought a new phone, Motorola E680i….my most expensive handphone yet…hahahahaha…it’s a great phone thou, with some great features. But I learnt my lesson not to bought PDA phone, because handphone are supposed to have keypad….not some stupid pointing thing called stylus.

so recently i got fed with the keypadless of the phone, i decided to change it. so this is what i got now. sharp 802sh.
