I hate performance appraisal setting season. It’s like forever and really is annoying. It’s a time where your boss can make a really fool out of you. And so does my boss, really spinning my head with his tongue twisting fact.
Its already been a month since I drafted my objectives setting and till now, I have 7 revision altogether. Every time I sent it out for him to review, there is always something not right with it. always something missing, the word is wrong, the objective is too broad.
Well, at first it was fine for me, since I wrote it myself. But then, when he started to give comments on what he proposed to do before, things started to get heated up a bit.
It’s normal that someone corrected others mistake, but correcting and commenting own ideas is totally un-cool.
Metaphorically it like I asked you to write me a letter ‘a’, and you did give me an ‘a”. But I said no, this is not rite, I want an ‘A’. so you give him an ‘A’, instead of saying ‘wow, you’ve done a great job’. Nope….i want an ‘A’ that have stripes like zebras.
So no wonder why they say, the main reason for employers leave a company is because of their superior….and at the moment, still ranting about my boss while editing my KPI
