24-7

Many people love to chat…I love to chat…chatting…talking…babbling…and there are lots of ways to chat…here in 21st century…computer and internet have revolutionize the way we use to chat…ICQ, IRC, MSN messenger and Google talk…Yahoo Messenger…you just named it…they got it…and the latest is video streaming…

My first experience of getting into this kind of world is IRC…introduce by my friend…I was still blind of this kind of things that day…and it was the booming of Malaysia IT sector…where everybody were talking bout IT…information technology…before that…IT means Stephen kings thriller movie for me…and you could see cybercafé everywhere…like mushroom after rain…and everybody I met were talking bout this IRC or mostly known as MIRC…I was lost…very2 lost…and seems like everybody around me were so advance towards this…and they were so addicted to it…that they plugged themselves in for 24-7…jeeez…I remember the movie ‘lawnmower man’…he was so addicted to this internet thing that he himself transform to digital form in cyberspace…creep…

Well, lucky for me…I was not addicted to this type of chatting…and I restrain myself…I prefer the old type of chatting…why?

It is undeniable that internet chatting can connect people all over the world thru one interface…and it is good…it kills the old method of searching pen pals by letter. Very classic…

What I realize from internet chat that require you to type what you want to say…is not cannot show your emotion very well…even if there is emoticon available…but it still won’t work well…so it is normal when somebody would misinterpret what you are saying…and same thing goes when you are using caps lock…its true that it might bring the feel of being angry or mad…and lots of other miscellaneous items…

But no matter what type of chat media that we use, it serves the same purpose…to unite and widen our circle of network…
